Can you guys believe there are only 27 days until Christmas? You know that saying, “the days are long but the years are short”? That pretty much sums up 2016 for me. I never thought we would see the end of the 3’s and then all of a sudden he turns 4 and the days are still long and my patience is growing shorter. Fa la la la la, la la la la!

The holiday party invitations have started rolling in and I’ve yet to say no to any of them, because FOMO. ‘Tis the season! Of course I have NOTHING to wear to all these parties *wink, wink* so I decided to host another Sip and Shop Party at Evereve (Maple Grove) on November 30th <details are at the bottom of the post>, juuuust in case I’m not alone in this dilemma. I popped into the store over the weekend to preview their current inventory and pulled together some of my favorite looks for every occasion. See you on Wednesday, MN Friends!

David Bowie Tank: Junk Food

Faux Leather Pants: 7 for all Mankind ‘Leather Like Skinny’ Anything in the burgundy family is calling my name this winter.

Necklace: the exact one isn’t online but here’s a similar arrowhead pendant

Booties: Vince Camuto – old, similar here (on sale for $59 until 11/28!)

Plaid Button Up: Rails ‘Hunter’

Necklaces: Artisan Statement and Layered Beaded Choker (I really liked this one but I felt like the gap was too long between the top and bottom layer so you’ll notice I added a second piece with it in most all of the pics.)

Jeans: AG ‘Legging Ankle’ I love the AG Legging Jean. They used to be my go-to until I got into a Paige ‘Verdugo’ and Hudson ‘Nico’ kick. I just bought this non-distressed pair while they were on sale and I had some rewards points to burn.

Tall Boots: Steve Madden ‘Palisade’ If I didn’t already own the Dolce Vita ‘Silas’ (sold out pretty much everywhere) I would DEF be buying these!

 Blouse: Free People ‘Off Campus’ I love a good military inspired top. The gold trim on the buttons dresses it up a bit.

Jeans and Tall Boots: Same as above

〈 OUTFIT INSPIRATIONS FOR AN OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTY 〉

Blouse: Free People

Velvet Pants: AG ‘Bluenight’ This blue color is so rich and so is the fabric! The dressing room lighting isn’t always the best – and neither are my photog skills – so the picture doesn’t really do them justice but trust me, they are GORGE!

Necklaces: Same as above

Booties: Lucky Back Zip Bootie Depending on the event I’d probably pair this look with a dressier shoe like this suede lace up heel in a similar shade of blue for a monochromatic look or this this metallic pump

Dress: Allison Joy ‘Sandra Ponte’ It has pockets. Enough said.

Necklaces: Same as above. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be buying this stack considering I’ve worn it in almost every picture.

Sweater: Braeve ‘Chama’ I’m in the market for more cozy cardigans so this is on my “to buy” list for Wednesday’s party.

Haute Coco Tee: Junk Food I love tongue and cheek tees and this one is a must for MN winters!

Jeans: AG ‘Legging Distressed’  These rival the 7 for all Mankind ‘B(air) Ankle Skinny’ which were a big hit at the last Sip and Shop party I hosted. They flattered ALL body types! I bought too many other things that night and had to pass on these, but I haven’t stop thinking about them so I finally pulled the trigger this week while they were on sale.  Score! I’ve also tried the Blank ‘The Hard Way Skinny’ and really liked them, especially for the lower price tag of $80!

Necklace: Layered Beaded Choker  This is the same necklace in the above pictures worn without the second piece.

Boots: Sorel ‘Joan of Arctic Wedge’ I just bought these during Black Friday when Sorel had 25% off most everything! The sale is still going on but my guess is for not much longer, so get it while the gettin’s good…

Flannel: Cloth and Stone The key to mixing patterns is to pair a small print (the stripe) with a larger one (the plaid) using the same color pallet.

Striped Tee: Peyton Jenson Rodeo Stripe Peyton makes some great basic tops that are perfect for layering.

Pom Beanie: Love Your Melon – 50% of the proceeds go towards childhood cancer research!

〈 OUTFIT INSPIRATION FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE 〉

Dress: Alison Joy ‘Lizzy’ This did not have great hanger appeal so I had passed it up until one of the stylists put it in my dressing room and ended up loving the way it fit. Meow. The ladies at Evereve are so good (almost too good when you are on a budget…) at getting you to try new things. Hence my love affair with this store!

Jacket: Blank ‘Private Practice Drape Front I love that just the back and sleeves are {faux} leather and the front is a softer cotton. It doesn’t feel as harsh as an all leather jacket can seem at times.

Cold Shoulder Sweater: Joa There’s that front tuck again that I love so much! I’d throw on some sparkly earrings, a bold lip stain, and a faux fur jacket. I mean, it is NYE after all. Fur and sparkle are always appropriate when popping bottles.

Jeans: AG Legging Distressed I only had an hour before I had to pick up the boys so I kept these on even though I had about 5 pair in the dressing room.

Tubman helps women, men, youth and families who have experienced relationship violence, elder abuse, addiction, sexual exploitation or other forms of trauma. They have a volunteer-run boutique called Harriet’s Closet where these women can shop for up to 3 outfits per month at no cost. All gently used items collected will be donated to this organization.
